Sunset Athletic Club is one of many clubs who belong to the Oregon Health and Fitness Alliance. Lobbyists representing OHFA have contacted Gov. Kate Brown’s office to civilly and respectfully request immediate, limited reopening of health and fitness facilities in all Oregon counties.

On Monday, January 11, 2021 Sunset Athletic Club opened outdoor tennis, outdoor basketball and the main outdoor pool (83 degrees warm) to Active SAC Members by reservation. Time slots are available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
OUTDOOR LAP SWIMMING:
Members ages 16 and over may now make reservations for lap swimming in the outdoor pool. The pool will be set with lane-lines in place – four lanes/one person per lane. 45 minute time-slots may be reserved using your SAC Member’s Portal.
Please note: There are NO showers or locker rooms available, please arrive “swim ready”. Towels are supplied. Bring your own water bottle. No lifeguards will be on duty. No spectators or guests are allowed.
The Sport Court may be reserved for OUTDOOR BASKETBALL (one family per hour) using your SAC Member’s Portal.
Reservations for OUTDOOR TENNIS COURTS may be made through Tennis Bookings.
Based on the Governor’s Executive Order, we are allowed to open Outdoor Facilities. Indoor facilities will remain closed for now.

This aquatic program designed for ages 8+ years is designed to improve stroke technique while swimming laps. It's a great way to improve skills and/or practice and train for Swim Team competition. Prerequisites to participate include: Swim 50 yards freestyle (with side breathing); Swim 50 yards backstroke; Swim 25 yards coordinated breaststroke; Demonstrated butterfly (15 yards), and a standing front dive. New participants must have instructor approval to enroll.
Join us in the Outdoor North Park on Thursdays at 2:00 pm for QiGong with JoAnne! In the case of inclement weather contact us to confirm the class is taking place.
On January 12, 2021 Governor Brown and the OHA extended closure of gyms and health club facilities at least two more weeks. The latest update continues to place Washington County in the Extreme Risk category. This means there will be no immediate changes to our status. Stay tuned for updates!
Though to our knowledge, we have not experienced cases at SAC, we hope these measures will help to reduce risks to those vulnerable. We plan to be part of the solution by closely following this mandate.
